Happy Tape and Happy Talk

March Gladness continues!

Happy Tape!
A few days ago, I was flipping through a magazine when I saw a little blurb on a Japanese product called Happy Tape. Basically, Happy Tape is this really cool, printed masking tape that you can use as regular old tape or in a variety of craft projects. The magazine suggested using the tape to fancy up a plain white lamp or lampshade. My nesting-stage fingers are literally itching to order some Happy Tape and start crafting, but I am telling myself that that project can wait until we (hopefully) move into a new house and have some new decor to think about.

Until then, I will continue to visit the Happy Tape website and dream and the Happy Tape blog where there are tons of ideas for how Happy Tape can be used. Check it out! [Unnecessary Disclaimer: I am not being paid in any way, shape, or form to pimp Happy Tape. I just saw the blurb, wanted the stuff, and wanted to share it with you because thinking about Happy Tape really makes me feel, well, happy.]

Happy Talk!
Lauren Graham's long-awaited return to television happens tonight with the premiere of Parenthood. It's on 10/9 central on NBC (right after The Biggest Loser). Set your DVR! [Unnecessary Disclaimer #2: I am also not on the payroll at NBC.]

That's all for now. Will you be checking out Parenthood? What would you do with Happy Tape?

Maybe you can seal all your stuff up in Happy-Taped brown boxes when you move. I would use it to tape down my son's snaps, flaps, and zippers (we have a staying-clothed-and-diapered issue). Then again, he might like it too much and want to un-Happy-Tape himself.

I wish I had happy taped my wallet to myself when I walked 3/4 of a mile to Whole Foods today.

My mother is always threatening to tape my kids' mouths shut if they scream in her house. Perhaps she would like some Happy Tape.

Okay, I so want some Happy Tape now! When I first saw it, I didn't realize how versatile it could be. I may redo my kitchen in Happy Tape.

ok, maybe a yet undisclosed weird quirk of mine, but i don't like sticky things. so no happy tape for me. or tape of any kind really. just doesn't make me happy.

but my dvr does make me happy. and hopefully so will parenthood when i get the chance to watch it. peter krause also makes me quite happy (oh, i heart six feet under so much), so i just can't wait.

Definitely some cute happy tape patterns. I'm picturing it as part of an art project hanging on the wall in one of my daughters rooms.

I dvr'd parenthood because seeing Lauren Graham there is as close as I can get to more gilmore girls. I always enjoyed coach Hayden Fox too.

My DVR is much happier this week after a good long drought there, although it got a little confused by so much action and inexplicably failed to tape the first part of American Idol. Parenthood is now on the series manager, and I'm looking forward to checking it out. Have also been enjoying Life Unexpected, though it certainly does not live up to hinted at Gilmore Girls comparisons.
I have a feeling my kids would be very happy to make a mess with happy tape.

i saw the happy tape in a magazine too, and instantly wanted it. i'm not a fan of decorative patterns, generally, but i want tape in all sorts of solid colors.

I should have just read your blog post and moved on, but noooooo...I had to click on the link for the Happy Tape and now I want some. Since I do all that crafty goody-ness I feel I can justify a purchase to the husband; going to be hard to restrain myself.

Oh, but MEP, Parenthood was so not happy. What a downer! What did you think?
