Across the Pond

Prince William, son of the late Princess Diana, is engaged to Kate Middleton.

The Beatles entire collection is now available on itunes.
There's a new movie about that one kid with the glasses . . . Harry Potter is his name, I think.

Just in case those bits of news had not made it to your corner of the USA, I thought I'd pass them along. You're welcome.
You can show your gratitude by suggesting Beatles songs for me to purchase with the itunes gift card that's been burning a hole in my pocket. Thank you.

England is ON FIRE these days.

I can't wait to see the royal wedding. For those of us old enough to remember watching his momma's wedding, I'm sure it will be a tearfully happy affair.

I like "I wanna hold your hand".

You crack me up.

Let it Be.

Yesterday.

Lady Madonna.

Can't really go wrong with any of them, can you? Though I've never really liked While My Guitar Gently Weeps or A Day in the Life...

Can't suggest a Beatle's song but check out Peter Gabriel's Book of Love. Very sweet song that we heard last night. Love your blog and have a great Thanksgiving!

Does it make me a freak that I detest the Beatles? Bleh.

I really hope that William's marriage turns out better than his parents...

I am equal parts fascinated with and in disbelief of the monarchy! But it will be fun to see this wedding.

I'm a bit of a Beatles freak, and would suggest Rubber Soul as the best album.
There are so many fun songs for kids, mine just love listening to Beatles in the car and I feel good, too, that I'm giving them a little culture! Yellow Submarine, 8 Days a Week and Octopus' Garden are the favorites lately.
When my first was born, I made a Beatles mix of more early songs that I used to sing to newborn Amanda when I didn't know what else to do with her. Good baby songs include: I Feel Fine, From Me To You, I Will...all very appropriate for singing to a girl as so many of the early lyrics are sweet love songs.

To PITA: the song you mentioned is "In My Life" from Rubber Soul. I totally agree that is a great one!

Can't Buy Me Love and Ticket to Ride. Of course.

Can't wait for that wedding. I'll probably cry.
