Now that I have two kids "playing" and a mini-van, I guess I am officially a soccer mom. I haul the sunscreen and the water bottles. I make sure the uniforms are washed (around here, one week turn-around time is tougher than you might imagine).
Are you thinking: "What kind of psycho signs up her two year-old for soccer?" Don't think that. I really signed him up for blowing bubbles, building towers with cones and knocking them over, and playing with a rainbow parachute on a soccer field.
Little Bit loves every second of it.
The way he looks in his little uniform? Priceless.
Bub is now in his third season -- the big leagues where they no longer do bubbles or play parachute.
I have to say that I'm excited for the "real soccer" days ahead (assuming they want to keep playing), but for now I'm enjoying my Lil' Kickers.
What are the kids in your life doing this summer?

Ugh! You're so lucky to have summer activities. Everything closes in summer around here. You're on your own, baby! Plus, you can't start any activity until you're 4.
Pretty stinking cute! m
They both look so adorable in their uniforms!! We talked about trying soccer for Sophie but decided to wait a year. I kinda wish we hadn't now.
As someone who has witnessed these Lil Kickers firsthand...so... stinkin'...cute.
We just pulled Emmett out because he spent the whole hour screaming for Daddy to hold him!!!! Ugh.
Love. LOVE the uniform, and the boy in it.
Around here? The little boy in my life is climbing towers of packed boxes and chanting "pack-a! pack-a!" The girls are playing patty-cake in utero. And these are the extent of their sport this summer.
Something about a boy in uniform is just so darn sweet. They are adorable!
Our kids: Elijah is still playing Little League baseball, but this is our last week. Isabel is reading her way through summer vacation, and Gabe is getting browner by the minute, soaking up endless rays of sun at the pool and in our backyard playing with his buddies.
Life is good.
Oh, Little Bit in his soccer uniform is to die for. My kids are in theater camp right now. It ain't soccer, believe me :-)
CUTE! We're doing the pool an awful lot. And the slip n slide and sprinkler and.. hmm. A lot of water themes here...
cosmo starts a british soccer camp in a week or so. i didn't realize that bub was in his 3rd season! cosmo did an indoor session in the spring too, and loved it.
excellent title, btw.
Loved the title of this post. Your boys are the cutest ever. My boy looks like a certified big kid when he puts on his pre-teeball shirt and hat, and I can hardly stand it. We're hanging at the pool when we're not on the road these days -- but mostly we're traveling fools until my water breaks or something.
LOVE IT! eli's playing SAY soccer again in the fall, and oh, the memories... orange slices, nerds at the concession stand, bee stings... glad you're having fun!
summer is all about the pool here! and being hot and tired and waiting for the baby...
miss you!
My daughter's preschool is year-round, so I'm chauffeuring her there twice a week. Daddy's on pool duty once or twice a week while I stay home with the newbie. And we're relying on the kindness of friends to host playdates we can never reciprocate wherein we drop one or both older children off for few hours. Hallelujah.
In the fall? We're thinking ballet for my daughter and gym (with a super-cool parachute!) for my older son.
So cute!
My kids' activities are over for the summer and will start again in the fall.
Oh, little boys...is there anything more delicious? I think not!!
MEP! How are you? We are busy here, summer classes, swimming, vacations, but loving having them around all the time.
How's the little doll?
Absolutely darling! Love that program, too! We're swimming and playing tennis and riding our new bikes this summer. I'm enjoying my days off and working on establishing better self-esteems and better overall behavior. Good times (for the most part :)) Rita
Adorable!
Lily is going to play Lollipop soccer in the fall w her friend Zoe.
She is starting swim lessons tomorrow!
